- Shaft - our hand carved asymmetrical ovoid indexed shafts are based around the finest ash, with premium Spruce for strong, stiff, light shafts, or with choice Sassafrass for a livelier, springy feel.
- Blades - we use the strongest, lightest Willow imported from upstate New York as the basis for our blades in order to cut down on weight with no sacrifice of strength. Blades may also include Spruce, Aspen, Maple, Curly Maple, Cherry, Birch, Walnut and other woods. Add on a layer of steam-bent Hickory edging to seal out any moisture.
- Edges and Coverings - we cover our blade edges in three layers of DynelŪ, then tip them with DynelŪ rope, making a formidable utensil for banging off rocks. To protect the wood, the blades are coated in 4 oz. fiberglass cloth topped with several layers of polyurethane to fend off damaging UV rays. The result - a tougher paddle than you will find any where else.
